Barista/Production - Tinker Catering
As a Tinker Catering barista, you'll be the cornerstone of our mobile coffee experiences, bringing exceptional beverages and service directly to our clients' most important gatherings. This dynamic role combines your passion for coffee craftsmanship with event management expertise, creating memorable experiences that extend well beyond the cup.
In this position, you'll orchestrate the entire mobile café experience from initial setup through seamless service to efficient breakdown. You'll craft specialty drinks that showcase both technical precision and artistic presentation. Your ability to maintain the highest quality standards while managing the fast-paced environment of catered events is what sets you apart.
When you're not on the road, you'll be an integral part of our production team, helping fill and stage online and wholesale coffee orders. This behind-the-scenes work makes sure every bag of Tinker reaches our customers and wholesale partners with the same care we bring to every event.
This is a full-time, salaried position, with additional earnings from catering tips. It's an ideal fit for someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in their craft, and wants a role that blends guest-facing hospitality with hands-on production work.

Assistant Manager - Cafes
Assistant Manager - Tinker Cafes
Ready to take the next step in your coffee career? We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead two of our cafes: the Firehouse and our brand-new location opening soon at 116th St. & Spring Mill Rd. in Carmel.
This is a role for someone who loves the daily rhythm of a busy cafe and knows that great coffee only happens when the whole operation runs well. You’ll split your time between both locations, working alongside our baristas and shift leads to keep service consistent, quality high, and every opening and closing running smoothly. When a site needs an extra set of hands or a steadier hand, you’ll be the one who steps in.
You’ll work closely with our General Manager and Director of Training & Culture, and you’ll have a direct hand in shaping how a brand-new Tinker cafe comes to life.
What you’ll do
- Oversee daily operations at both cafes, from open to close, and hold the team to consistent service standards
- Run regular quality checks on drinks and food for taste, presentation, and food safety
- Uphold recipes, SOPs, and service protocols, and keep both cafes in line with sanitation and health regulations
- Build and manage schedules for two cafe teams, with strong coverage during peak hours, and coordinate relief when someone calls out
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews in partnership with the General Manager and Director of Training & Culture
- Coach baristas in the moment and through scheduled evaluations
- Keep tabs on inventory of coffee, ingredients, supplies, and packaging at both locations, run stock counts, and place orders with help from shift leads
- Coordinate with vendors on ordering, deliveries, and storage
- Report regularly on quality findings, staffing coverage, inventory, and anything site-specific that needs attention
Who we’re looking for
- Experience leading a team in a cafe, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting
- Strong coffee fundamentals and an eye for quality behind the bar
- Organized and dependable, with the flexibility to move between two locations
- A clear, encouraging communicator who enjoys coaching others
- Comfortable with scheduling, inventory, and basic reporting
