Below, you'll find brew guides to accompany you on this flavorful adventure. Treat them as your compass, but feel free to explore and tweak each recipe to craft your exceptional coffee experience!
Adventurous Pour Over
Ratio: 1:16
Grind: Medium (A bit coarser than table salt)
Brewer: V60
- Start with 16g of coffee and 265g of water at 206F.
- Bloom with 48g of water for 10 seconds, then swirl.
- Pour to 156g starting at 50 seconds, ending at 1:10. Wait 20 seconds.
- Pour to 265g starting at 1:30, ending at 1:50.
- Water should pass through by around 3:15.
Approachable Pour Over
Ratio: 1:15
Grind: Medium (go a bit coarser than the adventurous PO)
Brewer: Kalita
- Start with 18g of coffee and 270g of water at 202F.
- Bloom with 54g of water for 15 seconds, then stir for 5 seconds.
- Pour to 162g starting at 1:00, ending at 1:25. Wait 35 seconds.
- Pour to 270g starting at 2:00, ending at 2:25.
- Water should pass through by around 3:30.
French Press
Ratio: 1:14
Grind: Medium coarse (a bit finer than coarse salt)
- Start with 30g of coffee and 420g of water.
- Pour all 420g of water by 1:00. Wait 2 minutes.
- At 3:00, stir the crust and place the plunger just on top of the brew.
- Wait an additional 2 minutes.
- At 5:00, carefully pour into your vessel.
Drip
Ratio: 1:17
Grind: Medium (use the same grind size as the approachable PO)
- Start with 45g of coffee and 765g (about 27oz) of water.
