Byron Corrales is famous in many coffee circles for his development of a unique hybrid coffee variety called Maracaturra. The Maracaturra coffee was developed by combining the Caturra and Maragogipe varieties, which produced an above-averaged sized bean with an incredibly unique (and delicious) flavor profile.

Byron's farm, Finca Los Pinos, has been producing ultra-high quality coffee for many years. One of the keys to Byron's success with coffee growing comes from his use of natural methods for soil conditioning and fertilization, which have helped his coffees win several awards and 90+ ratings. 

This is a naturally processed coffee, with an amazingly floral and fruity aromatic bouquet. The full-bodied intensity of the fruit comes through in the cup and is balanced with a brown sugar sweetness and bright notes of cherry and chocolate that remind us of biting into a cherry cordial.
